Yi Peng

Songkran: The Thai New Year

Loi Krathong: The Festival of Lights

What to Expect: People float small, decorated rafts (krathongs) on rivers and lakes, symbolizing letting go of negativity and making wishes. In the North, you might also see sky lanterns released alongside krathongs.
